Your message
should be
1. VOTE YESon Representative Klinzings
amendment to HF 3623 which would limit pre-kindergarten screening to
academic skills. We do not want the schools assessing our kids for
vague and subjective mental health categories that are highly unreliable
and have extraordinarily high false results." For more information
on this subject, see our
2005 alert.

2. VOTE NO ON HR 3623! The entire bill resurrects the Profile of
Learning for our youngest children. It is a dangerous, expensive,
and unnecessary intrusion into family life and relationships. The
assessments are vague and subjective and will result in mental health
screening and false labeling. Early childhood programs are
ineffective and actually harm young children's motivation to learn.
