Important Colorado Primary
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bob Schaffer Supports
Education for a Free Nation

The August 10th Colorado primary for the US Senate seat being vacated by the retiring liberal Republican Ben Night Horse Campbell is a fierce fight between four candidates.  Only one, however, has the knowledge and courage to fight against the imposition of a federal curriculum and to uphold the Declaration principles of national sovereignty and God given unalienable rights.  That candidate is former Congressman Bob Schaffer.

Mr. Schaffer served on the Education and Workforce Committee while in Congress.  He paid out of his own pocket to read and have transcribed into the Congressional Record the infamous “Dear Hillary” letter from Marc Tucker which laid out the vision of School to Work in order to warn his colleagues and the public.  Marc Tucker’s vision is to have ALL students in this country be educated to a minimal level using national standards and being funneled into entry level jobs determined by the needs of the state, rather than individual choice.  Bob Schaffer opposed School to Work.

Bob Schaffer was one of a handful of Republicans with the political courage to oppose the President and the political power blocs on No Child Left Behind. Bob Schaffer voted against No Child Left Behind, both in committee and the final bill.

Bob Schaffer served on a subcommittee that investigated the coercion by schools of parents to put their children on prescription psychiatric drugs like Ritalin and Prozac.

Bob Schaffer understands that international agreements and international institutions can interfere with America’s freedom and destiny.  Regarding national sovereignty, his campaign website says, “America should not be expected to shoulder the financial burden of international institutions. Nor should the United States cede any of its sovereign rights to multilateral institutions. At no time should international institutions be allowed to tax American citizens, control U.S. soldiers, or make laws governing the American people.”

Bob Schaffer’s voting record in Congress was consistently pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-freedom, for lower taxes, and smaller government.  The principles of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were his guides.  Those principles will guide him in the US Senate. He is by far the most experienced of the four candidates.

Bob Schaffer needs our help right now.  One of his opponents is beer heir Peter Coors, who sadly, has been endorsed by the powers-that-be in Washington.  Although trailing Bob in the polls, Coors has spent thousands of dollars on television attack ads that must be countered in the final days before the primary.

EdAction is endorsing Bob Schaffer for US Senate, and urging our supporters to do the same.  For more information, please see the campaign website at www.schafferforsenate.com.  If you are in a position to make a contribution to this outstanding candidate, please do so immediately on the secure website at https://secureweb.info/schafferforsenate/contribute.php.  Thank you!
